Lollywood moving to Bollywood
Bollywood has always been able to capture the attention of the masses by its full-on entertaining movies, songs and the glamours movie stars. Pakistan and India are neighboring countries on the globe and previously our Pakistani stars like Ali Zafar and others also have crossed borders and worked in India. To join the league we have our Pakistani diva Humaima Malik and the ‘Humsafar’ Rock star Fawad Afzal Khan who will be seen in Bollywood movies with A-list stars this year.
The gorgeous model turned actress Humaima Malik was in the news that she will be staring with Emraan Hashmi and she is. Her new movie is with him where is playing Ziya love interest of the all-time famous, Emran Hashmi, who is playing the role of a conman, Raja in Kunal Seshmukh’s ‘Raja Natwarlal’. The trailer has been released and it is a promising watch. The plot seems interesting and our gorgeous Humaima looks like a typical B-town actress, in the beautiful outfits and those thumaks and jhatkas.
Being the highest paid actress in Pakistan she has moved forward in her career by entering Bollywood. She has been tweeting about her journey saying “This will be a journey & experience I will cherish for a lifetime! Love you all! #rajanatwarlal @emraanhashmi @sonali_rattan @kunal_deshmukh.”
With her striking looks and slender figure her first look was in a draped shimmering red sari and she nailed to have the Bollywood heroine charm and that got the crowd swooning. When the actress finished the shooting of the movie she tweets “Just gave my last shot for #rajanatwarlal. Unbelievable! It’s been an emotional journey.”
With the film’s release scheduled for August 29 2014, will soon find out whether Humaima, has polished herself after ‘Bol’ as her performance in ‘Bol’ was really Bollywood material. Until then watch the film’s first trailer for a glimpse of the talented lady in action.
Fawad Afzal Khan who was the star of ‘Humsafar’ with Mahira Khan is doing a new film in Bollywood with Sonam Kapoor in Disney’s ‘Khoobsurat’. The movie is a remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1980 romantic comedy which had Rekha and Rakesh Roshan as the leads. The Indian media said that Rekha is keeping close tabs on what Anil Kapoor’s daughter Rhea (who is producing the remake) is including in her version of one of her favorite films.
Initially it was reported that Rekha’s character will be played by Alia Bhatt, but then it was revised that Sonam Kapoor will play Rekha’s role from the original ‘Khubsoorat’. Fawad’s name for Rakesh Roshan’s role came to the limelight towards the end of 2013 when media reports and tweets started circulating. The first teaser of the movie was also released where we see the heartthrob Fawad with Sonam Kapoor.
Well the journey in Bollywood doesn’t end for Fawad after ‘Khoobsurat’ he will be doing a movie with Kareena Khan Kapoor in the movie that will be made under Yash Raj Banner. The genre of the movie is planned to be romantic and it would be interesting to see how Bebo and Fawad will respond to the role and how will be their onscreen chemistry like.
The first teaser of the movie was very confusing where only Sonam and Fawad’s legs were shown but it managed to grab your attention till the first teaser was launched. The movie is all set to be released on 19th September 2014.
Both our Pakistani artists have grown out of the borders and are proving themselves with their talents which is a positive point. Both the movies are set to be in cinemas later this year with ‘Raja Natwarlal’ releasing on 29th August and ‘Khoobsurat’ on 19th September 2014.
Lets see which Pakistani star manages to wow us!
