Pakistani celebs cut a dash at our first film festival in New York

The UN Headquarters in New York had a red carpet reception attended by some Pakistan’s biggest icons, ambassadors accredited to the UN, community members, media and movie fanatics. Stars like Mahira Khan, Mawra Hocane, Nabeel Qureshi, Saba Qamar, Wajahat Rauf, Yasir Hussain, Sheheryar Munawar, Asim Raza, Tooba Siddiqui, Adeel Hussain, Sanam Saeed, Jerjees Seja, producer Afia Serena Nathaniel and Mehreen Jabbar were present there.

Chief guest of the two-day festival, UN Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson, congratulated the Pakistan Mission to the UN and echoed that events such as these are a crucial in order to send a message across to the world about unity and entertainment at going hand in hand.

ARY Films have outdone themselves in every way possible, the C.E.O Salman Iqbal attended the festival and we’re proud that ARY opts to invest in quality films that have received a massive recognition. Event will display at cultural center Asia Society screening top most Pakistani movies over the weekend. Movies like Dobara Pher Se, Lahore Say Aagay, Pakistan’s Oscar nomination, Oscar award winner Sharmeen Obaid’s animated film, 3 Bahadur, Dukhtar, and Ho Mann Jahaan.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi mentioned how Pakistani films convey the message of energy, creativity and dynamism. She added that it’s the true Pakistan. Its a proud moment for Pakistan and ARY.
