Mehwish Hayat “looking forward to doing a lot more” for girls
What do we call a model who knows acting and can also sing with absolute mastery? We call her Mehwish Hayat. The starlet has worked extensively in not just dramas but has also appeared in movies including Punjab Nahi Jaungi and Jawani Phir Nahi Ani that had become the highest-grossing flicks of Pakistan till date.
Apart from her many talents, she has been exceptionally vocal on social issues and has always stood up for the oppressed people of Pakistan and abroad. Recently, the Punjab Nahi Jaungi superstar has spoken at length of the Indian brutality on Kashmiris at various international platforms undermining the fascist government of India.
Mehwish Hayat has just added another feather in her cap as the Ministry of Human Rights appointed her the Goodwill Ambassador for girls. She took to Twitter to reveal the great news.

Pleasure to be at the launch of the Ministry of Human Rights’ new initiatives for the girl child and share the panel with some really inspirational and distinguished women like Hon Minster Shireen Mazari, Ms Rabiya Javeri Agha, Secretary Ministry Human Rights, Ms Samar Minallah Khan, Anthropologist and HE EU Ambassador, Androulla Kaminara. I was really impressed to see how the project is using innovative ways like truck art to get the message out. There is so much that needs to be done and I really am looking forward to being very proactive and doing a lot more for this cause in my role as goodwill ambassador. ???????? #MehwishHayat #Goodwillbassador #internationaldayofthegirlchild #MinistryofHumanrights Wearing this beautiful outfit by my Fav designer the one and only @rizwanbeyg ?? #RizwanBeyg
