In the closing minutes of Episode 9 of Dar-e-Nijaat, a conversation between Zamil and Arham shows a struggle many people face: the painful conflict between doing what you believe is right and holding onto the person you love.

After a night out at the club, a situation he agrees to solely to appease Zaryab, Zamil finds himself drowning in guilt. On call with Arham, he breaks down, confessing that every time he attempts to move closer to a disciplined, spiritually grounded life, he feels pulled right back into the habits he is trying to leave behind.

The Blame Game vs. Inner Vulnerability

Zamil admits that he feels caught in an impossible cycle. He loves Zaryab deeply and refuses to leave her, yet he feels her lifestyle and expectations constantly push him away from his spiritual goals. When he tries to be gentle and accommodating, he feels influenced; when he resists, friction flares up between them.

However, Arham’s presence brings a sobering perspective to Zamil’s emotional spiral. Rather than validating Zamil’s tendency to shift all the blame onto Zaryab, the conversation forces Zamil to face a difficult truth: true change cannot rely on forcing another person to transform, nor can it be sustained by blaming them for one's own compromises.

The True Measure of Choice

Arham gives a grounded reminder: personal desires mean little if they force you to compromise your core values. He doesn't tell Zamil to leave Zaryab, but instead challenges him to take real accountability for his own choices.

If Zamil cannot bring Zaryab toward the path he wishes to walk, he must still hold himself responsible for his own choices. Loving someone should not become an excuse to abandon one's principles, nor should faith be used as a stick to judge a partner while quietly participating in the very actions one claims to hate.
